PDP Urges Bayelsa Governor Diri to Address Rising Hunger and Poverty

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri to take urgent steps to address the rising levels of hunger and poverty affecting residents across the state.

The party expressed concern over the economic challenges facing many households, urging the state government to implement policies and programmes aimed at improving livelihoods, creating jobs and easing the cost-of-living pressures.

According to the PDP, greater attention should be given to initiatives that promote food security, economic growth and social welfare.

The party encouraged the government to strengthen support for farmers, small businesses and vulnerable groups, while investing in infrastructure and other projects that could stimulate sustainable development across Bayelsa State.
