President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Fayose as Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) Board, alongside the appointment of 25 other individuals to the governing boards of various federal agencies and institutions.
The appointments, announced by the Presidency, are part of the Federal Government's ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, improve institutional performance and accelerate the implementation of key national development programmes.
According to the official statement, the newly appointed board members are expected to provide strategic oversight, enhance transparency and support the effective delivery of the mandates of their respective agencies.
As Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency, Fayose will lead the board responsible for providing policy direction and oversight for the agency's initiatives aimed at expanding access to electricity in underserved and off-grid communities across Nigeria.
