Family Faces Fresh Pressure as Abductors Increase Demand
Kidnappers holding Chief Joseph Ezeokafor, father of Nigerian socialite and businessman Jowizaza, have reportedly increased their ransom demand from ₦700 million to ₦1.5 billion.
Ezeokafor, chairman of Jezco Group, was reportedly abducted in Anambra State while visiting a mountain for prayers.
According to reports attributed to family sources, the kidnappers initially demanded ₦700 million, but have now more than doubled the amount.
The development has increased anxiety for the family, while authorities have yet to publicly provide detailed information on the investigation or negotiations.
