European Planemaker Reaffirms Confidence in Meeting 2026 Delivery Goal Despite Industry Challenges 
Airbus Chief Executive Officer Guillaume Faury has said the aircraft manufacturer's delivery performance during the first half of 2026 remains consistent with its full-year target, expressing confidence that the company is on course to meet its annual production and delivery objectives.
Speaking during a business update, Faury noted that while the global aerospace industry continues to face supply chain constraints and production challenges, Airbus has maintained steady progress in aircraft manufacturing and customer deliveries.
According to the CEO, first-half deliveries are broadly in line with the company's internal plans, providing a solid foundation for achieving its full-year guidance. Airbus has continued working closely with suppliers to address component shortages and improve production efficiency across its commercial aircraft programmes.
The European aerospace giant has experienced strong demand for its fuel-efficient aircraft, supported by the recovery of international air travel and increased fleet renewal by airlines seeking to reduce operating costs and emissions.
Faury acknowledged that supply chain disruptions remain one of the industry's biggest challenges, particularly in the availability of engines, structural components and specialised aerospace parts. However, he said Airbus is collaborating with suppliers and partners to minimise disruptions and sustain production momentum.
Airbus continues to ramp up output of its popular A320neo family of single-aisle aircraft while also increasing production of its wide-body models, including the A350 and A330neo, to meet growing customer demand.
The company has maintained its focus on improving operational efficiency, investing in manufacturing capacity and advancing sustainability initiatives, including the development of lower-emission aviation technologies.
Industry analysts say Airbus' ability to remain on schedule despite ongoing supply chain pressures reflects resilient demand in the commercial aviation sector, where airlines continue to place large aircraft orders to accommodate rising passenger traffic.
Investors are closely monitoring Airbus' delivery performance because aircraft handovers are a key driver of revenue and cash flow for the manufacturer. Meeting annual delivery targets is therefore considered critical to the company's financial performance.
