Emergency Teams Race Against Time as Search and Rescue Operations Continue 
Chinese rescue teams have used controlled explosives to break apart massive boulders blocking access to victims trapped by a deadly landslide, as emergency crews continue intensive search and rescue operations in the affected area.
According to local authorities, the landslide sent huge volumes of rock, mud and debris crashing through the community, burying homes and cutting off access roads. The enormous boulders left behind by the collapse prevented heavy machinery and rescue personnel from reaching those believed to be trapped beneath the debris.
To overcome the obstacle, specialized engineering teams carried out carefully planned controlled explosions to fragment the rocks and create safe access routes for excavators and rescue workers.
