Committee Launched to Probe Procurement and Distribution of Faulty Renewable Energy Equipment 
The Kano State Government has launched an investigation into the alleged sale and distribution of substandard solar panels, as authorities seek to determine whether procurement and supply procedures complied with established standards.
State officials said the probe follows reports that some solar panels supplied under government-related projects or commercial transactions failed to meet expected quality and performance requirements, raising concerns about their durability and efficiency.
According to the government, a committee has been constituted to examine the procurement process, inspect the affected equipment and identify any individuals or organisations that may have violated contractual or regulatory obligations.
