Twin brothers Taiwo and Kehinde Ajitokewu from Isale Eko, Lagos Island, have achieved outstanding academic success at Lagos State University (LASU), with Taiwo graduating with First-Class honours while Kehinde emerged as the Best Graduating Student in his department.

Taiwo earned a First-Class degree in Biology Education, while his twin brother Kehinde was recognised as the Best Graduating Student in Computer Science Education, both in the Department of Science and Technology Education, Faculty of Education.
Their achievement came as LASU graduated 20,604 students across its 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions, with 494 students obtaining First-Class honours.
Beyond their academic results, the brothers accumulated several achievements during their undergraduate years, including two national scholarships, multiple local scholarships, international recognition and professional mentorships. They were also selected as Millennium Fellows for the 2025 class at LASU.
Reflecting on their journey, the twins said their success was built on determination, consistency, discipline and faith, despite doubts from some people about their chosen fields of study.
Their story has attracted widespread congratulations, with the brothers describing their achievement as not only a personal milestone but also an inspiration to young people who may feel their background or circumstances limit their potential.
From the streets of Isale Eko to academic excellence at LASU, the Ajitokewu twins have shown that determination and consistency can turn humble beginnings into remarkable success.
