• Second-degree murder: A guilty verdict without the additional finding required for first-degree murder.
• Manslaughter: Jurors could find that the killings amounted to manslaughter rather than murder, taking into account the evidence surrounding her mental state.
• Not guilty by lack of criminal responsibility: This would mean the jury accepts that a mental disease or defect left Clancy unable to understand the wrongfulness of her actions.
