BRYNE Initiative to Expand Training, Finance and Market Access for Nigerian Youths
The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has launched a new programme aimed at supporting more than 100,000 young Nigerians every year.
The initiative, known as the Building Resilient Young Nigerian Entrepreneurs (BRYNE) Project, is designed to help young people turn business ideas into sustainable enterprises.
What the Programme Offers
According to SMEDAN Director-General Charles Odii, the programme will combine business training, incubation, mentorship, access to finance, market opportunities and business development support.
The goal is to address one of the biggest challenges facing young entrepreneurs: having a business idea but lacking the resources and guidance needed to grow it.
Focus on Jobs and Growth
SMEDAN said the programme is expected to give more young Nigerians the opportunity to build businesses capable of creating jobs and strengthening local economies.
For many young Nigerians struggling with unemployment and limited access to business funding, the initiative could provide a pathway from simply having an idea to building a viable business.
The success of the programme, however, will depend on how effectively the promised training, funding and market opportunities reach young entrepreneurs across the country.
