West Ham United continued their impressive run of form with a commanding 6-0 victory over Wrexham at the London Stadium, securing a fourth consecutive Championship win and moving to the top of the table.
Jarrod Bowen opened the scoring in the 28th minute, finishing from close range after a well-worked attacking move. Joel Piroe then doubled West Ham's advantage in the 37th minute after being set up by Taty Castellanos.
The hosts maintained their pressure after the break and quickly extended their lead. Konstantinos Mavropanos headed in from Bowen's corner in the 48th minute to make it 3-0.
Castellanos added a fourth in the 63rd minute after a swift counter-attack involving Kyle Walker-Peters. Substitute Mohamadou Kanté then made it 5-0 in the 76th minute before Manor Solomon completed the scoring six minutes later.
The result moves West Ham to 14 points from six matches, putting them above West Bromwich Albion at the summit. The Hammers have now scored 16 goals during their four-match winning run.
The victory represents a major turnaround for Nuno Espírito Santo's side, who had failed to win any of their opening three league matches following their relegation from the Premier League.
West Ham's attacking players were particularly effective, with Bowen, Piroe, Castellanos, Solomon and Mavropanos all making important contributions. The team's ability to maintain its intensity throughout the match was also a key feature of the performance.
For Wrexham, the defeat ended a difficult evening and highlighted the challenge of competing against a West Ham side gaining confidence with every match. Phil Parkinson's team will now look to respond in their next Championship fixture.
