Doctors Warn of Growing Pressure on Healthcare Services 
Resident doctors at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, are threatening further industrial action over unresolved welfare and working-condition issues.
The doctors have raised concerns over outstanding minimum-wage arrears, Medical Residency Training Fund payments, professional allowances, staff shortages and poor facilities.
The dispute has also raised concerns about patients who depend on the teaching hospital for specialist medical care. NARD says the hospital is operating with a severe shortage of resident doctors, placing additional pressure on those still working.
The doctors are calling on the Oyo State Government and LAUTECH management to resolve the outstanding issues and prevent further disruption to healthcare services.
For patients and their families, the main concern is simple: a prolonged dispute could make access to timely medical care even more difficult.
