The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested a nurse and another woman in connection with the alleged abduction of a newborn baby from a hospital in the state.

Police authorities confirmed that the infant has been safely recovered, while investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and whether additional suspects were involved.

Baby Reportedly Taken From Hospital

According to the police, the incident occurred at a healthcare facility in Jigawa State after the newborn was allegedly taken from the hospital without the consent of the child's family.

The disappearance triggered an immediate search, prompting security agencies to launch an investigation that led to the arrest of the two suspects.

Authorities said preliminary findings linked one of the suspects, a nurse attached to the hospital, to the alleged abduction.
