Ayyoub Bouaddi Transfer: Manchester City Agree £86m Deal for Lille Star

Manchester City have reached an agreement with Lille to sign highly rated 18-year-old midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi in a deal worth up to £86 million.                                                                                         

                                               

City are reportedly paying around £81.3 million upfront, with a further £4.3 million available in add-ons. If completed, the transfer would make Bouaddi the most expensive teenage signing in Premier League history.

The Morocco international impressed during the 2026 World Cup, starting five of Morocco’s six matches as they reached the quarter-finals. He also enjoyed a breakthrough season with Lille, making 30 Ligue 1 appearances.

Bouaddi's arrival is part of Manchester City's midfield rebuild following the departures of Rodri and Tijjani Reijnders. The club are looking to add more youth and energy to the centre of the pitch under new manager Enzo Maresca.

The teenager is expected to undergo a medical before completing the move to the Etihad.

City's decision to spend heavily on one of Europe's most promising young midfielders underlines their belief that Bouaddi could become a major star for years to come.
