The Nigerian Army has intensified operations against terrorist and criminal networks operating across Katsina and Zamfara states, as security forces step up efforts to protect communities and rescue kidnapped victims.

Troops under Operation FANSAN YAMMA have carried out intelligence-led operations targeting terrorist hideouts and disrupting planned attacks in the North-West. Recent operations in the two states have also led to the rescue of kidnapped victims.

The military said sustained pressure is aimed at weakening the networks, preventing further attacks and restoring security in affected communities.

In Zamfara, troops have also targeted prominent terrorist commanders and disrupted the movement of armed fighters preparing for operations in the region.

For residents, the ongoing offensive is particularly significant as Katsina and Zamfara continue to face kidnappings, armed attacks and insecurity.

The Army says operations will continue as troops pursue fleeing fighters and work to dismantle terrorist networks across the region.
