Osun Poll: A’Ibom CP Warns Deployed Officers Against Misconduct

The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, has warned officers deployed to Osun State for the governorship election against misconduct and partisan behaviour.

Azare urged the officers to remain neutral, disciplined and professional, stressing that their responsibility is to protect voters and ensure a peaceful election.

The warning comes as security agencies prepare for the poll, with concerns over possible violence and electoral misconduct.

For voters, the deployment is expected to provide security at polling units while allowing citizens to cast their ballots without intimidation.

The CP also reminded officers that any conduct capable of undermining public confidence in the police would not be tolerated.

The Osun election is scheduled for August 15, with security expected to remain tight across the state.
