Barcelona made a stunning start to their LaLiga title defence with a dominant 5-0 victory over Elche, led by braces from Raphinha and Fermín López.
Raphinha opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Karim Adeyemi marked his Barcelona debut with a goal just before half-time. Raphinha added his second after the break, while Fermín López completed the rout with two late goals.
New signing Anthony Gordon also impressed after coming off the bench, providing two assists as Barcelona turned the match into a one-sided contest.
The only concern for Hansi Flick was an injury to Gavi, who was forced off before half-time with a knee problem. An official diagnosis is yet to be confirmed.
Barcelona's emphatic victory sends an early warning to their title rivals, while Raphinha's two-goal display provided the perfect start to the champions' campaign.
