Association Wants Better Healthcare, Skills and Business Opportunities for Members 
Nigerian traders are seeking support from the Chinese Government for cataract treatment, artificial intelligence training, scholarships and international trade opportunities.
The Made in China Goods Traders Association of Nigeria made the request during an engagement with the Chinese Consulate in Lagos. The association said a cataract outreach programme could help restore the sight of vulnerable residents who cannot afford surgery.
The traders also asked to be included in China’s plan to train 5,000 Nigerians in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, saying the skills could help members adapt to the changing business environment.
They further requested access to Chinese government scholarships and support to attend major trade exhibitions, including the Canton Fair and China International Import Expo.
According to the association, these opportunities could help Nigerian traders build new business connections, gain useful skills and explore investment partnerships while strengthening Nigeria-China economic relations.
