Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russia is increasingly relying on military support from North Korea, including ballistic missiles being used in attacks on Ukraine.

Zelensky said the latest cooperation shows that Moscow is receiving more weapons and military assistance from Pyongyang as the war continues. He also warned that North Korea is preparing to provide additional troops and weapons to Russia.

The claim comes after Ukrainian officials reported that a recent Russian strike involved North Korean-supplied ballistic missiles. Reuters has previously reported that Russia has used North Korean missiles against Ukraine, with debris from earlier attacks identified as belonging to North Korean Hwasong-11 missile variants.

Civilians Remain at Risk

The development has raised fresh concerns for Ukrainian civilians, who continue to face missile and drone attacks on cities and critical infrastructure.

Recent Russian aerial attacks killed at least nine people, according to Ukrainian officials and reporting by the Associated Press.

Zelensky says the expanding Russia-North Korea partnership could make the conflict harder to end and increase pressure on Ukraine's already stretched air-defence systems.

For ordinary Ukrainians, the growing flow of foreign weapons means continued uncertainty, with more families facing the threat of missile attacks and disruption to daily life.
